Dos and Donts
"Dos and Donts" is a student short film I helped create, where I got to be a part of many production aspects. I worked on Storyboarding, Prop Design, Layout Design, Rough Animation, Clean-up and Compositing. It was a really fun experience and gave me a lot of insight on how to operate in a team, stay on schedule and adapt constant critique.
Boards and Brainstorming
The brainstorming for plot ideas started with a brainstorming session between everyone where we put in our ideas into a shared document. From there on we collectively chose the best out of our ideas and subsequently worked on storyboarding the idea.
Background Design
Layout design for the shot I storyboarded
went though few stages before its final rendition leaving more room for creative heightening for the shot . Emphasising the animated character though the foreground and figuring out the layering to help post production go smoothly.
Animation - Rough and Cleanup
The scene I did for this film involved taking care of the keying, rough inbetweens and final clean up and composite. I had to consider timing for the comedic effect and made sure to look at references for characters motion.
